5 Best Hotels on the Gold Coast to Complete Your Beach Vacation
With its sun-drenched beaches, turquoise waters, and theme parks, the Gold Coast is a prime destination for anyone looking to have a fun vacation! But where do you stay after a long, hot day?
The Gold Coast has plenty of options, but not all are built the same. We’ve stayed at the most luxurious accommodation and have had not-so-fun experiences with no running hot water! Eek!
Lucky for you, we listed down hotels with decent amenities and soft beds. No one wants to see a dirty tub, you know! Here are our favourite hotels for a good night’s sleep!
How much are hotels on the Gold Coast?
Hotels on the Gold Coast cost an average of $274 per night. Factors will affect the rates, such as the location and the season. Peak seasons will have higher prices.
1. Dorsett Gold Coast

Address: 5 The Darling Ave, Broadbeach
Phone: 61 7 5504 1000
Check-in & Check-out: 3 pm & 11 am
Our team loves accessible hotels, which is why it wasn’t a surprise that Dorsett Gold Coast made it onto our list. Situated in the heart of Broadbeach, it’s only 500m from Kurrawa Beach and 30 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport (without traffic, that is!).
One of our favourite things is the modern guest rooms. Every room gets Elemis toiletries (an eco-conscious UK brand), Google Chromecast, free Wi-Fi, an iron and ironing board, and views of the Gold Coast or the vistas.
The facilities impressed us despite the limited parking. The pool that overlooks Broadbeach, the 24/7 executive lounge, Technogym equipment at the gym (a 9x official supplier for the Olympics), and various massage treatments at the spa.
To top it off, in-room dining includes various menus from participating restaurants of The Star Gold Coast. Plus, you’re only a couple of minutes away from restaurants if you want to skip in-room dining.
Went above and beyond to assist me
“Excellent stay! I would definitely come back. Great location as well, so many things are walking distance. Special thank you and mention to Don at Guest Services – Don went above and beyond to assist me in checking out, helping me with my luggage and assisting me in the direction of taxis. He is the greatest asset to this hotel and deserves so much praise. Thank you very much.”

Our favourite hotel on the Gold Coast
“Another amazing stay at the Dorsett! It’s become our favourite hotel on the Gold Coast. Everything about this hotel is perfect: the location, the facilities, the pool, the restaurants and my most favourite part, the executive lounge. Everytime we come to stay, the lovely Jess at the lounge looks after us beautifully with the biggest smile on her face. Starts our day off great! Do yourselves a favour and come and stay here if you haven’t already. I highly recommend a stay in the executive rooms to have access to the lounge!”

2. The Langham Gold Coast

Address: 38 Old Burleigh Rd, Surfers Paradise
Phone: 61 7 5638 8888
Check-in & Check-out: 3 am & 11 am
The Langham Gold Coast is a luxury hotel that will give you a lavish experience. That’s how we felt when we stayed, especially with the accessible facilities and the private transfers—no wonder it’s pricey!
The hotel is between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, which means you’re close to several beaches. And its beachfront location means you get instant access to swimming.
The amenities are fantastic as well. We love how the rooms have a Nespresso coffee machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, motorised curtains, a Samsung TV with StreamVision casting, and Diptyque toiletries.
There are complete facilities as well. For one, Chuan Spa is an excellent spa that offers services inspired by traditional Chinese medicine.
Plus, the gym is fully equipped (perfect for fitness buffs) and there’s an indoor and an outdoor pool exclusively for hotel guests. The outdoor pool has a swim-up pool bar, complete with views of the Pacific Ocean!
Walking distance to shops
“We had a lovely three day stay at the Langham. The hotel is iin a great location, right in front of the water and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff were all exceptional. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed and a choice of pillows. The breakfast was delicious !!!”

Everyone was so nice and helpful
“Our stay at the Langham was beautiful! The rooms are beautifully appointed, immaculately clean. Food and drink were delicious. Best was the service! Everyone was so nice and helpful, particularly Jacob, who was so professional and earnest in his efforts to be of help on multiple occasions! Thank you, Langham, for a memorable stay!”

3. Imperial Hotel Gold Coast

Address: 94 Seaworld Dr, Main Beach
Phone: 61 7 5509 8000
Check-in & Check-out: 3 pm & 11 am
The Italian craftsmanship in Imperial Hotel Gold Coast made our stay feel more luxurious than we initially thought. The moment you enter, you’ll be welcomed by extravagant architecture, complete with gold accents.
The rooms exude luxury, even with some wear and tear. We love how bright they are, complete with bespoke furnishings and Juliet balconies (yes, even the cheapest room has a balcony!).
When it comes to facilities, you certainly get your money’s worth, even if it’s pricey. You can relax at the spa, lift weights at the fitness centre, and cool off at the pool with cabanas.
On top of that, you can have the most lavish airport transfer. They’ll pick you up in a bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom, but there’s a maximum of 3 guests only.
We also love the waterfront location. It’s also right next door to the Marina Mirage Shopping Centre and is within walking distance of the surf beach.
Had an amazing experience
“I recently stayed at the Imperial and had an amazing experience. While the hotel is relatively aged, its genuine architecture adds to its charm and beauty. The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel itself was spotless and well-organized, which added to the comfort of my stay. The pool provided a wonderful holiday atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. The highlight of my visit was definitely the delicious breakfast – it was the best part of each day! Plus, the Imperial’s location near a beautiful sandy coast made it even better. Highly recommend!”

Impressed with all aspects
“We were very impressed with all aspects of The Imperial Hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate. Breakfast was sumptuous. Dinner was a special treat with the seafood linguine being outstanding. The ambience of the foyer is both relaxing and welcoming with stunning displays of orchids, piano music and beautiful furniture.”

4. Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise

Address: 8 Esplanade, Surfers Paradise
Phone: 61 7 5665 4426
Check-in & Check-out: 2 pm & 10 am
When it comes to long vacations, Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise is one of our hotel choices. You basically stay in an apartment-style room, available in 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms.
The best part is that every room has unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and a private balcony. The floor-to-ceiling windows bring in so much light, which makes the room bright and feel more spacious.
You still get hotel-like amenities. There’s free Wi-Fi, cable TV (no TV app, though), mini bar, a full kitchen and a washing machine.
They don’t skimp out on the facilities, although more maintenance needs to be done. With a fully equipped gym, sauna and steam rooms, and indoor and outdoor heated pools, you can find lots to do if you want to skip the ocean.
We like the location, too. You’re only a hop and a skip away from the beach and there’s a shopping mall nearby.
Staff was really accommodating
“Had such a great experience staying at peppers, the staff were really accommodating, we managed to book a later check out. The room was so spacious and comfy. The location is perfect, close to shops and the main strip, I will definitely be back!”
– May K, Tripadvisor Review
Walking distance to everything
“We stayed 6 nights at Peppers as a family of 4. I couldn’t fault our stay. Staff were very friendly and always accommodating to our needs/requests. Our room was amazingly clean and perfect for us. Pool and other facilities were great. Location is amazing, walking distance to everything we needed. Highly recommend, we will stay again for sure.”

5. The Pink Hotel Coolangatta

Address: 171 Griffith St, Coolangatta
Phone: 61 7 5415 0598
Check-in & Check-out: 2 pm & 11 am
The Pink Hotel is one of those memorable stays our team has had. The retro vibe and unique design really made an impression.
It’s easy to see why this hotel made a mark. The exterior is pink, which is cute and impossible to miss!
We also love how the rooms have individual designs, complete with custom art, trendy style, and mid-century furniture. All rooms have TVs with Netflix, free Wi-Fi, stocked SMEG mini-fridges, and king-sized beds!
You can enjoy the views on the rooftop, where you can bring your own drinks and snacks (we were pleasantly surprised by this). There’s a whiskey bar on the ground floor if you want to listen to live music, but it does get loud at night.
There aren’t a lot of amenities, though, like a spa and gym. But, it is close to Gold Coast attractions, so there’s plenty to do if you get bored.
Great location
“Stayed for a night and it was perfect! Great location, 2 min walk to a bus stop and about 5 min walk to beach front. Apartment was really clean, neat and very aesthetic. Staff were so friendly and communication was easy. Got upgraded to a bigger room too which was great! Rooftop is awesome too. Would definitely come again. Thanks!”
– Zahra Rassool, Google Review
Rooms are decorated well
“Perfect location near the airport, we stayed to catch an early flight the next morning. The rooms are decorated well, burger restaurant in the building and option to order breakfast also. Right across from the beach too. Accommodated a later check in using a lock box. Rooftop bar only serves on weekends but still accessible during the week with a great view! Would definitely stay here again when visiting Coolangatta!”
