Considered one of the most affordable dog grooming services on the Gold Coast, Furbalicious Pet Care proves that quality of service doesn’t always equate to higher prices.
The dog spa specializes in smaller dogs, as seen with the multitude of its care packages for smaller fur babies.
Interviewing some of their previous clients, we found out how caring and patient the staff were in ensuring that the dogs were comfortable throughout the whole process.
That said, we’d recommend talking with the salon first before scheduling a grooming appointment for bigger dogs. They have different needs and grooming procedures, which are far different from the usual grooming services the salon does on smaller ones.
We’d also like to note that customers must first need to schedule an appointment before going to the salon. Although it’s not always the case, walk-in customers will not always be entertained, especially during busy schedules.
Don’t worry, though. The staff are really approachable and will immediately offer an available date that fits both your and the salon’s schedule.

When we secretly went in as customers, we found their staff accommodating to all of our pets’ needs. This ensured that our adorable pups remained calm and composed throughout the process.
It’s also really cool how attentive the staff were to the details, down to the minute instructions we gave them during the appointment.
Best of all, the whole process was over within or even under an hour. This was something we looked out for because a quick grooming session helps reduce the pet’s stress and the possibility of anxiety attacks.
That said, we’d like to advise pet owners to ask the staff for a breakdown of prices and any additional fees before going through with Doghouse’s grooming services.
We learned that the salon may add extra charges if the dog’s being a bit rough or if the grooming session takes longer than the scheduled time.
Scheduling an appointment can also be quite a challenge due to the salon’s limited available slots. Plus, most announcements are only made on the salon’s Facebook page.
Don’t worry much, though. The shop accepts last-minute appointments and even accommodates walk-ins as long as there is an available slot on that same day.

We particularly liked how accommodating the shop was towards customer inquiries. They provided practical advice to almost any concern.
They also maintained a consistent communication line with clients, whether to schedule another appointment or address any issues following the grooming session.
While their services are at the higher end of prices, we’d be hard-pressed to question it. After all, we were impressed by the results.

However, it’s best to go to another pet grooming salon if your fur baby has some attitude problems. Better yet, you might want to consider giving them a dog-calming supplement before the grooming session.
We learned that some of the staff were quick to refuse to provide service to dogs, especially bigger ones that are prone to anxiety and panic.
Similar reasoning was given to us when we secretly tried to avail of their service. However, they provided us with an alternative dog grooming spa that could handle this kind of behavior.

We can’t help but find it heartwarming how the shop provides free tips and advice to fur parents to help handle their pets before and after the grooming.
If you’re still doubting the service quality, just look at the shop’s Facebook page to see the dogs’ transformations before and after the grooming session.
If there’s one negative thing we can point out about Tina’s it’s that booking an appointment at their salon can often feel like a race. The salon’s limited operating hours and appointment slots make it a contest between dog owners in the area to secure an appointment first.
It’s double the challenge since Tina only announced that the slot was available on their Facebook page. If you’re not following their page religiously, the chance of scheduling an appointment becomes harder.
